I love how Paul explains in this chapter how we were given the doorway into salvation. At the same time, Paul reminds us not to get proud because if God did not spare the Jewish people from their lack of faith, neither will he spare us.
Then I really appreciate how Paul goes on in verse 33 and 34 to remind us who God is and the depth of who God is. He is our Lord and our Father in heaven , not our buddy. We need to give him the respect he is due by fearing him.

    • Here is the referenced passage:

“Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways! “For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been his counselor?””

This is a pretty incredible excerpt. Recently, I read through the Bible Book of Job. In Job, God provides an extensive line of questioning to Job, namely to identify Himself (God) as extremely supreme. It is a pretty incredible account to enjoy, I recommend it as reading for all who want to read an account of God’s own line of argumentation for His supremacy.
