“For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery. You were running well. Who hindered you from obeying the truth? For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit. Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. The one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.”

Passage excerpts from the Bible Book of Galatians Chapter 6.

I love how God uses you artistic talents to create objects with in objects. I also love the reminder of this that freedom is not free. Someone always has to pay a price for freedom. For our country, it was the men and women on the battlefield but for our spiritual eternal life it was our king, God’s son, Jesus Christ that paid the price. Thank you my friend for that reminder and thank you for this great video. Happy Fourth of July to you and Sarah and the family.

    • Thanks Jonathon! So, a little bit about the backstory here… I was hanging out with my family playing a board game, and I looked at a vase we have that is filled with corks. I noticed that the red ends of the cork looked pretty cool against the natural tan color of the corks. Then I thought, “I should make an American Flag out of corks and video the process.” So, my fourteen year old son joined in the process and we decided together to write a message first out of the corks before building each section of the flag. After that, we brainstormed some verses that would go well with the theme of Freedom in Christ. We landed on the Galatians passage and went for it. Glad it turned out well! Thanks for the feedback!
